Original Works in Concrete

This site is mostly devoted to stuff made out of concrete, the "ugly step-sister" of the art world. My primary interest currently centers on fabric-formed concrete sculpture, but I also tinker a bit with sundials. Originally, I started out pursuing more "conventional" castings using rubber molds of my own design and fabrication.

For individuals with an affinity for doing things from "scratch", several pages, currently in various stages of construction, have been devoted to some of the tips and techniques behind making high-quality silicone rubber molds using "off-the-shelf" materials easily obtained from any big box hardware store. There are also discussions on how to make and use your own inexpensive acid stain, again using easily obtainable ingredients.
