Concrete Stepping Stones
Even though its been some years since I made my last stepping stone
mold, I still have all my old molds and most of them are in pretty good shape
(silicon rubber has a considerably longer lifespan in terms of mold usage than
does the more frequently used latex rubber compounds).
Between gray and white cement and the available pigments, an astonishingly wide array of colors can be achieved. The photo to the right really only shows the tip of the iceberg in terms of coloration. |

Stepping stone pricing is a function of size (some are 15" in diameter; some 12"),
cement used (the material cost of white cement is about 3× the price of gray cement)
and color (green and
especially blue considerably influence the material cost per stone).
